Mark E. Crawford, Ph.D.

After completing his undergraduate work at The University of Tennessee, Dr. Crawford earned an M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri. He completed an internship in Clinical Psychology from the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Following completion of his internship, he served as a staff therapist and later as the Clinical Director of both an adult and adolescent inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment center at West Paces Ferry Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. In 1997, Dr. Crawford and Dr. Lyles formed Lyles and Crawford Clinical Consulting, P.C. Dr. Crawford’s current outpatient practice includes work with individuals, couples, and families, and he maintains an interest in performing neuropsychological evaluations. 


In addition to his outpatient practice, Dr. Crawford is a consulting psychologist to the Westminster Schools and to Pace Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. From 2003 – 2008 he was the team psychologist for the Atlanta Hawks Basketball team. He continues to consult with professional athletes and professional sports organizations. He is regularly requested as a speaker to churches, parent groups, professional groups, organizations, and schools. He is the author of When Two Become Three: Nurturing Your Marriage After Baby Arrives published by Revell Books, The Obsessive-Compulsive Trap: Real Help for a Real Disorder published by Regal Books, the chapter The Importance of Father in The Complete Parenting Book published by Revell Books, the chapter Perfectionism and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorders in the book Caring for People God’s Way published by Thomas Nelson Publishers and many other articles on families and parenting. Dr. Crawford has appeared on ABC’s Good Morning America, ABC’s World News This Morning, House Call with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, and he has made multiple appearances on CNN, CNN Headline News, and other local and national television and radio programs.
